Right away youll know how to use this well-designed app. Fast painter options from Illustration to Watercolor with my favorite Experimental. All of them are tasty, no duds. The canvas brushstrokes imitate how an artist paints, adding to the realism along with well-selected canvas textures. For a dollar more you get 20 drawing options that are different than their ToonCamera. Also choose different canvases and as well as adjust and crop photos. Plus you can get reasonably priced prints and frames previewed right in the app. It also comes in a worthwhile bundle that saves you some money and gives you another good app called ToonCamera that adds effects to your pix and videos, even while you take them. I discovered the bundle while looking at their third useful image app Relight that realizes more closely what your eyes see.

If you want to oil paint a photo, THIS is the app youve been looking for. Wish it ran on my IMac. Id recommend their Toon Camera app too.

I love that the brush strokes are visible and that you can adjust the thickness of the strokes. The details remain clean and the choices of different styles and techniques are a plus!

Bought this based on the review. However, the functions are limited and you have to pay more in the application. The image with the application is misleading.

...in a great way!! You can take any photo and turn it into your own creation. Works wonderfully with animals and nature photos. When I share the "paintings", my friends are hooked. The free version is very complete. For $1.99, I added some new features. Get started!

Works great on iPad Air2. On Pro all you can do is open photo that appears in left box. No way to get at rest of photos in photo app or even adjust the photo. Please fix!

Im a designer, illustrator, and professional artist. I use this app to do studies for more detailed paintings. Its a lot of fun and I love it. My only criticism though is it needs a brief tutorial. It would also be great to have a brush control to vary the amount of detail (not just faces. Well done so far!

I cant do art at all. This app does amazing things with photos.

Its one of the few "SHUT UP & TAKE MY MONEY" experiences Ive had with an app in the Apple App Store. There are so many combinations to use to art-out your photos. If you are artistically inclined at all, and like the art form of painting, theres a good chance youll like this app. (^_-) Personally, I hate using my phone to make anything. The lack of tactile feedback frustrates and irritates me. Also, phone screens a just so darned small. Still, with the different textures, tints and styles this app offers it has me, a large canvas user, arting-out my photos on my iPhone. Thank you creators, programmers and such, for making this app!

Really nicely crafted app

This is by far the best art app out there. I absolutely LOVE it. It is helping me with my own personal painting so much. I am so glad I came across this app. I use it daily. There are three settings I like the most. The oil, simple and gloss settings turn photos into oil paintings. Check those settings out. You wont be disappointed.

Its pretty much what Id hoped it would be. There is an additional package of paint options that will cost you a small price. I think it was 1.99... Cant remember. But it has some of the better options available. Just a heads up.

I use this app almost everyday. I get to take photos and create something that can viewed as art without taking out a brush.
