Amazing app

Stroke of genius.

Awesome app.

As the title says, there is a prompt to buy a license as soon as you open the app. There is no other option. There is no free trial. Just make the this a paid app so people don’t waste their time.

Trying to cancel my subscription and there’s no place to do it. This is not what I thought it would be. I can’t even figure out how to move forward from bringing up the picture. There are no instructions.

Moms 100% need this for kids photos :)

I’m using this app to take my existing art and “bend, fold, and mutilate” it so to speak. Taking my existing art and totally “crunching” it to come up with different effects and different looks. The app does a good job of giving “painterly” effects!

Just downloaded this app. Support within the App Store sent me to a website that was useless. I have an iPad Pro…little over a year old. No useful directions whatsoever. You have to pay $5.99 to access. Not a big deal. Unless, you need directions.. Within the app, it says upload to the app. No option for that. Upload from an album. No option for that, either. If you open the app, you will have to scroll forever if you have an older photo or if, like me, you utilize your camera on a daily basis. Went to website and it basically said the same thing. Easily upload from albums or favorites. Nope. Literally start at the last pic and you have to scroll until you find the photo. Will gladly update if I actually find this app to be useful before deleting.

I downloaded the “free” app, but it doesn’t do anything except offer the full version for a price. I basically downloaded the paywall. No trial. No preview. No limited functionality until you upgrade. No nothing.

I’ve been using this app for years to reimagine certain images to help me create new works of art on paper (or sometimes on ProCreate). But regardless of how you use it, it’s a phenomenal app. It always has been. It was way ahead of its time and has stood the test of time. I cannot recommend an app more. These are good people who made this.

I love this app. I have used it for years to tweak photos for calendars and other photo gifts. I think it is a great way to create personal art into canvass and tile hangings

Love this app - more than I can say - does sooo much

Giving a one star but I’d give zero if I could. Why would you be able to download a free app but can’t even use it to save photos without purchasing it?? Make it where you have to buy the app because what’s the point in downloading if it’s not actually free? SO STUPID!

I was about to buy the Creative Photo Bundle when I found out it’s no longer offered. Please bring it back.

I love the fact that you can actually put a signature on your painting

This app enables me to take photographs that might have certain deficits or problems and turn them into fabulous paintings. And the options are endless. Thanks for making such a fun tool!

“Randomize” button/tab needed to take the optimal level of advantage of this great application. I just like to hit that “randomize” tab and see the real magic. I want to see the magic of this application. Please my fellow developers!!! Just to be clear: Randomize - Randomizes the effect on the image and produces a visually appealing image arts/artsy. Extremely easy to use.

The Brushstroke app has been a favorite of mine for the past several years. I enthusiastically recommend it!

I’ve had this app for a day so far. It has effects that a lot of others don’t. It’s easy to use. It’s great for all ages. With such an inexpensive lifetime price….

For years I have used a few "painting" programs and some were ok but they always needed to go into photoshop to be of any quality. NOT SO WITH Brushstroke. They deserve a lot of credit putting out a free version. I’ll be asking for the Pro version for Christmas! Great work programmers!

This is for anyone who ever felt powerless paying a so called artist to create your vision only to find yourself with less money and no realization of the vision. You don’t need to pay anyone. You are creative already, you were just lacking the tools for success. Do this, you will thank me later.

I love this app. I wish there were some way to know which filters I used to create a given image, so that I could recreate the effect without going through all of them again, and guessing.

I'm digging the app but plz add a saved feature when adjusting preset to our liking I hate having to write down all of the adjustments I do for the next project other then that the app rules

I wanted artwork on my walls, and this is such a beautiful way to take photographs, and turn them into artwork, especially if you have pictures of landscapes.

BrushStroke helps me see various aspects of a photograph by giving them extra emphasis in its “paintings”. I see the possibilities and compare them to the image I’ve already formed in my mind. It helps me plan my painting; get a better sense of how to approach it. Not all of its choices are well suited to the subjects I select, but that gives me a better idea of what to select as my subject if I were to choose a different style for a painting and still use a photograph as my starting point. So, in that sense, it is also art educational.

def not worth the money. there was not a single filter i found useful here. Wish i could get a refund for this

I have really been enjoying Brushstroke for several years. It is one of the easiest graphic art tools that allows you to turn your photos into paintings. Kudos to the team that put this together. Signed, one happy user!

There’s no other app like this. I use it constantly and find it very easy to use. It’s also FREE and I purchased the add on for a one time small fee.. I would buy more once they create more…I hope they add more filters soon since I have memorized all the originals and added on the bundle. I would like a cubism filter and more abstracts.

Just didn’t care for any of the application choices, I found most of them just distorted the original picture. For me, it was a waste of money.

There is no way to edit a selected part of the photo - every filter is applied to entire image - download if you like your photos without ears or dog photos without tails!

I bought this app, it’s awful, and what’s worse is what they charge to take a photo, doesn’t even remotely look like a painting and charge you an exuberant amount to print either a print or on canvas. I Truly disappointed, really would like a refund, emailed them, no response. Don’t buy it, don’t except it as a gift.

There are a couple better traditional style painting filters available in the app store. It is disappointing that there is almost no ability to control brush marks. You are stuck with the app presets and changing gimmicky things like canvas texture and hue. Getting something that actually looks like like paint and works with your image is almost impossible. If you are an experienced artist this will probably disappoint, I suspect the many positive reviews are from hobbyists. The lack of a free demo or high res sample gallery on their website makes me feel mislead and I've requested a refund.

Please add the ability to save presets if possible, I love the app.

I took a picture of my wife while drifting down the Missouri River. The picture was ok but after working with Brushstrokes I created a very nice painting. Floating the rivers in Montana is a favorite pastime for us so this celebrates those events. This was a Christmas gift to my wife and I had it printed on canvas. It came out great and now hangs in our bedroom. Their customer service was great and very responsive! Over all I received a great painting and good service I’m very pleased.

I downloaded a bunch of photo-to-canvas apps for a project I’m working on. Having used many now, this one by far offers the least bang for your buck. I purchased the app and in app filters - almost all disappointing and corny. Save your money, kid.
